For the this Tuesday May, 17 we have Policy Restaurant, 1904 14th Street, NW at T Street (202-387-7654), 2nd floor and many community members lined up. In light of the recent 14th and V shooting and some concerns of business owners, we’re trying to get residents, business owners, and police from the Dupont, Logan, and Cardozo Shaw/Mid City neighborhoods that abut this corner of Dupont. Thanks in advance to the Policy management. Please come out to try to improve your public safety and increase communication across some of our borders.
We’ll meet from 7 to 8:00pm These are held on the 3rd Tuesdays. When we can, we like to move the monthly Public Safety Meeting around to different venues. That tends to draw new people out and makes for a good meeting. Our community depends on good communications to and from our police. This is a roundtable meeting where we problem-solve. Bring an issue – no matter how minor. If you can’t make it, please convey your issue to someone who will be attending.
Later this week, I’ll send out an appeal you all to write Community Impact Statement letters to a judge regarding 2 defendants…hope you can add you voice.
